At just a 10 minute drive from Pátio do Vale, São Martinho is the nearest beach. This beautiful shell shaped little bay has been frequented for years by the same families who long ago chose it as their favorite place for holidays and weekends.

The sea is calm and protected by the bay unlike some of the rougher coastlines, therefore perfectly suitable for kids. It can get a little busy in August when it turns into a truly cosmopolitan holiday resort. If you like to discover a little more besides the lively boulevard, the little chapel of St. Anne is very cute and gives you a beautiful view over the entire bay and there are beautiful wooden walkways through the dunes to explore.
